update on Ren issues

Sup all,

Did screen share with an Akai tech in total about 5 hours across 2 days. He tried everything. Midi ports do not work on this thing. Also tried 1.6 1.7 and current software and still can not explode/bounce stems. So they are convinced its the hardware and I'm getting sent a new one.

Also they stated there is a software update coming soon they just don't know when also the stems issue should be resolved with this update.

In the meantime back to the 2000XL

Got the 2nd Ren in today. Uninstalled and reinstalled all software, all updates. SAME F'N issues. Midi ports do not work and still cannot export stems. What a piece of shit this is. Actually no the hardware is good, what a piece of shit Akai support is. Yeah I could do everything inside the DAW while limiting myself with a midi sport. But I do not work like that. It has Midi ports, they should work, period. It has the option to export stems as individual wavs, it should work, period.

100's of people experiencing the same thing as I am and ZERO fixes. They dropped the ball!

I have no problem with exporting stems., MacBook Pro i7.

Try creating a fresh user login. I was having plug-in issues and this showed me there was some hope. I eventually got it resolved in my original user profile. At any rate, sorry to hear you havent resolved it yet. I was frustrated for a bit, for sure. They sent you a new Ren? Thats pretty good customer service, though.

I can export stems as well, on both pc,mac.midi works as well
