I already own a REN but i need sumthing better for portable use. I still use my MPC 1000 that i would also use for my mobile set-up but it gets annoying packing it up all the time. The studio would make perfect sense to me as i can pack my laptop, keylab 25, MPC studio, RME ucx and external hard drive all in one bag. It would totally save time and space and the workflow would be what im used to working on the Ren. I found a really good unit on craigslist for a good price but im still thinking about it. I wanna get some thoughts on this as i make my final decision. Any info would be dope.

None really! But is the workflow really the same as the ren without all the qlinks?

Yes. Q links are slightly annoying because you use the top q link to switch rows. The Ren has dedicated buttons for some functions while the Studio has multi functions tied to one button with a shift modifier.

Those are the only differences I know of.

fake edit..

No audio interface either

I've also had the studio at one point for mobile use,it works great. I still prefer the hardware typical mpc feel over the studio, but it's built rather well for what it does. get it,it's worth it n much lighter n alot easier then toting around the ren.
