Ren vs Studio workflow

Hi

Anyone here have both or switched from a studio to a ren or vice versa?

what are the major diffrances in hands on workflow? ... anything in the flow that´s greatly missed comming/used often on the Ren tha´s severly missing/hurting in the flow compared to mpc-studio..


Thinking of getting one for travel rig as my 4k is too big and heavy for that .. which leads me to two question,.. does the ren/studio have realtime swing and independent time signatures per bar? like on my 4k..

Do you have a Ren now?? I got a studio for sale if you want it.

from the Ren to studio is only a button issue for me. they are slightly different. so it always took a few seconds longer to flip threw menus with hardware cause i need to relocate things. and the q links are not that great on studio. nothing to counter balance the convenience of its size and portability.

Thanks pk1 for the info ... anything specific about the studio knobs that makes them not so great .. are hey also touch sensitive (and if so what is that used for? ..

@ optik415 yhea I´m interested pm me info and price ... I´m though waiting on 1.8 to download and test before I take the plunge .. I need to make sure my 4k projects flow before I do this ..

No.

Hopefully by 1.9 or 2.0 they will implement realtime quantize or an evolution of it. It's such a useful feature in the 4K but it can be made a lot better.

Seeing I have you on the line is there some kind of arrangement view of patterns ... or is it still mimicking mpc song mode ... seams like one of the great advantage of having a huge screen would be some kind of graphical arrangement view of patterns

I honestly couldn't tell you mate. My brother is the Ren user and I just keep tabs on its progress for his benefit. I've spoken with Hellfire about realtime quantize in the past though, so I know they want to implement it.

You can download the demo off akaipro website, it times out after 10 minutes. You can close it and reopen it again.
