Hi there
does anyone one know if its possible to buy a lisence for just the software?
i have 2 MPC2500s and just want to export the sessions digitally.
tested on the demo and it works great!
i dont really want to have to buy the hardware renaissance or studio

Not possible I'm afraid.
Anyway, they for sure would charge 299 or something like that...not very far from the studio.

This is a lost revenue opportunity for akai imo. Said so a while back. Since the software does this, they could also capitalize on folks that want to stick hardware only. Release a small version that only allows project load and export. Minimal editing to adjust effects, Params, and maybe song mode.

i will probably have to buy a mpc studio to authorize the software, but their just so ugly, will wait awhile and see what happens, at least till they make one thats not silver :)

i feel the same way, it would be dope to be able to use the mpc500 or 1000 as a controller with the software. maybe they could sell the software for 100.00 or some shit like that. :flu: Akai, i don't want your shitty controller, but whatever..lol

I bought the studio, activated the software, and put the studio away. other than a couple times I haven't used it. It was worth the investment to me, because it speeds the tracking workflow from hardware mpcs to daw.

If they improved plugin mode it'd be worth using alongside a daw during composition, but right now it's not there.

I'd love to be able to buy the software ,and they should let you control it with other midi controllers ,like maschine in midi mode ,

control the software via mpc500, best of both worlds, i have a demo of the software, i should midi the 500 up and see how it works/if it works with it.

yeah i said before, akai are stupid for not releasing a version that you can track old machines through.

who on earth wants to buy a 300 controller just to use a function of the software......
