MPC Software shows up twice in program list of windows

maybe a silly question but: I'm on MPC 1.7.2 right now and did the updates always like it was recommended. Except of few everyday-bugs it runs quite nice. today I checked my list of programs (win 7) for another reason and recognized that mpc is listed twice; one version 1.7.2 and one 1.2; this is not normal, is it?

When U launch the 1.2 I am assuming if you check the ABOUT that is still shows as the latest version.

In short, that list is just shortcuts to the program and when U did install of latest, if didn't update shortcut, but instead added the new one. U can also right click the icon in the list and look at properties and see of they actually point to the same launcher.

If both are not in add/remove programs, they are not both there. U can likely delete the 1.2 shortcut and keep it moving

Thanks for this! But just to clearify this: I actually meant that there are two MPCversions in the add/remove prgram list of the windows control panel. that's what is making me perplex.In addition in the list the Factory content is shown as version 1.2, too.

Ahhhh, Well I am perplexed also bro. I had to go check my add/remove programs and only 1.8 is there, as expected

I'd probably uninstall from add/remove. Maybe uninstall both, and reinstall just the version you're using, just to clean things up
