1.8 time stretch

Ok wtf is up with this new time stretch update?!!?? The original way was perfectly fine and alai had to mess it up with this number of beats thing. I just made a beat an forgot that one 8 bar sequence needed to be stretched from 86.5 to 85.2. I tuned the sample to 2 for the beat also. Sooooooo, i put the number of bars as 32 and changed the new tempo to my desired (85.2). I process it and it speeds the entire loop up. Please someone help bc this is really frustrating me as a loyal mpc user my entire life

why are you putting the bars to 32 if there are 8 bars? its measured in beats anyways, so maybe thats what you meant..

if you select correct number of beats in sample (which automatically creates an original tempo), then shift new bpm to desired bpm.. everything should function correctly

I tried that initially and that sped the sample up ridiculously... When i put the beats to 8 it shows the original tempo somewhere in the 30s

is the sample 8 beats or the sequence 8 beats?

remember that this section is specifically for the sample, not the sequence

the sequence is 8 bars which would make the sample 32 beats. This is why i placed 32 beats in and the original temp it gives me is based on the tempo of the sample before i tuned it up to +2. This whole thing is a mess. The original way, i just put the original tempo and my desired tempo and it worked perfectly

so just to clarify - the sample you're trying to stretch plays for 8 bars (32 beats) ? and i dont mean you PLAY the sample for 32 beats.. i mean the ONE wav file is 32 beats long

i dont get why this isnt working for you

if i load a sample, choose the correct beats, and change the BPM - it is effected correctly

there's gotta be something missing here

I already had the beat completed and this one sequence had a tempo of 86.5 while the other sequences were 85.2, I attempted to stretch this ONE sample to 85.2 as well by placing the number of beats to 32 and changing my desired tempo to 85.2 and it's totally off

so you mean you loop 8 bars samples in your beats? just one big 8 bar / 32 beat piece of a song??? no hate just trying to make sure i understand right

if you're stretching an NDC sample with existing slices in trim .. and slices = all .. then timestretch should still effect the entire piece.

as long as your entering the correct information everything should work fine. i cant produce any bugs

perhaps the fact that its 85.2 while tuning is set to +2 is causing your problem .. time stretch is being applied to original sample at "0" i believe

I don't see the option to turn beats to "off" even after i double click

I'm double clicking it and nothing man. Once i change the tempo it goes back smh
