What do you guys think of the Ren's audio interface?

I have a friend who has a Digi002, the audio works fine but the midi isn't working correctly (I've never been a fan of digi design hardware). He's about to get a Ren and I was wondering what do you all think about using the Ren as your only audio interface?

well the digi is more then 13 years old you can expect better audio quality on the ren. what you want to do with ?record midi?record audio? record a singer? or just using the audiointerface as a asio client on a windowspc?

the audiointerface quality has reached a great quality even in the budget marked compared to the "old days"( old days 90 -2005 )

I depends. what you are looking for.

the ren has the mpc workflow and is more then just an interface. the quality might not be on the apogee level but is more then okay.

Yeah. This guy doesn't do hardly any external signal recording (keyboards, guitar, ect.), at the most he might record vocals so I'm thinking the 4 inputs from the Ren should be enough for him. I'm thinking if he sells his Digi002 and use that money to help get a Ren then it would solve his midi problems plus he would have the audio that he needs.

He will be recording midi as well as some vocals into Logic and sometimes into Pro Tools. I'm suggested to him to sell his Digi002 and get a Ren but I don't want him to be disappointed if the audio isn't up to par. I thought that there might be some people out there that are using the Ren as their only audio interface.
