Maybe cause it's useless...
I mean seriously, what's the point of making music if it means taking someone else's groove? Do bassist, gutarists or whatever musicians borrow groove templates to help them play?
Just open your ears, take that quantize off, you'll see it's not that difficult and even more rewarding. Cause you know... you did it yourself!
Stop spending your time at watching software features and just play some damn music!

always these dance music heads are obsessed with groove templates

mate MPCs can be used for any style of music but its best for hip-hop/rap and thats what most of us do. the swing settings as they are satisfy most users needs and the rest of us go unquantized.

if you're so hung up on groove templates i suggest you use ableton and a push, thats going to be better for dance music anyway. groove templates have been suggested before and i guarantee you that its at the bottom of the developers priority list.

AND even if akai did add this feature to the software, it would take years of further development and refinement before they reach the level of sophistication of shit like ableton... that's not going to happen.

and since i mentioned the developers, you should post feature requests on akais website, where they have a forum dedicated for that, where you will get a reply from someone who works at akai.
