Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I'm currently using Windows 7 (64-bit). I have the Akai The 809 installed. I found where the samples are located C:\ProgramData\Akai\MPC\Content\The809\Samples.

There are folders that contain the samples for The 809. When I go threw the folders they're .wav files.

When ever I try to play the .wav file in VLC, Windows Media Player or even try to open it in Sound Forge, I'll get a message saying "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

In Sound Forge I get a error message saying "Warning: An error occurred while opening one ore more files. The file is an unsupported format." .wav file?

Anyone know why and how do I fix this?

Load it up as plugin track, the wavs are protected

I don't have the MPC Software anymore just The809 Plugin. When I install the The809 and I go to it's directory I see the .wav files but I can't open them.

I tried using VSTHost to see if I can load The809 in there but it won't work, VSTHost locks up.

Any suggestions?
