This would be awesome.

I'd like to be able to use MIDI to control outboard synths / keyboards, building the individual patterns, then, when the whole song is constructed, to record those parts into a track in song mode.

Can this be done? Is it in the works?

If not, what's the best way to bounce MIDI tracks from the REN into a DAW? Is there a MIDI track export feature?

Not only can it be done but audio tracks should've been implemented before the software was released. The elephant In the room lol.

In song mode?

So, for instance, suppose I have a MIDI track 1, and I put all my patterns together in song mode, I can record the audio from MIDI track 1 into song mode, as one long audio track?

Wast that implemented in 1.7?

The only work around at the moment is to route your external gear into the sample input, trigger the midi, and make the sample a program. I do it that way at the moment when I don't feel like going through the hassle to route everything through my interface and whatnot or when I want to chop up my own loops.
