Licensing/activation for offline machines

Hello! I'm new here, so my apologies if I'm in the wrong section or if this has been answered already.

I own MPC Studio and Element, and I'm wondering if it's possible to get my software activated on my studio mainframe, which is strictly an offline machine. Is there a way to generate a license file that I can then transfer to that machine?

Also, how does Akai handle it when I want to change my installation setup? I have my MPC software on two machines currently, so I know I'll have to take it off one of them in order to install it on another machine. Does the MPC software automatically 'call home' when I'm uninstalling it, so that Akai's servers 'know' I've removed it?

Pretty sure there's an offline activation option during the initial registration process.

I don't think Akai have any automated way of checking whether the software has been uninstalled.

In theory you are already breaking the license agreement by having the full MPC Software running on two machines (the Element runs the MPC Essentials software, so one machine should be running that).

However previously Akai stated you can have 4 authorisations before having to call to get it reset, so most people assume that's the current policy even though the official license says otherwise.

This is good information to know- thanks. For some reason, I thought we could have the software on two machines simultaneously.

In any case, I'll run the installer again and look for the offline option. Can you tell me who I need to contact to reset the authorization? Sorry for asking so many questions.

Akai themselves have been very vague about the software licensing, initially saying one thing on their web site (4 auths) and something completely different in the installer (no specific auth limit, but only 1 install at any one time), so it's safe to assume most people don't really know where they stand. The thing is, no one has ever indicated any problem with them getting their count reset, so at this point in time it seems Akai are perhaps taking a laid back approach.

Ultimately, Akai don't currently offer the option to buy a standalone license, so IMO it would be tricky for them to start clamping down on installs when they seem unable to offer the ability for people to legitimately purchase additional licenses (not without also buying hardware).

Well, I got a notification that I'd exceeded my installs when I tried to put MPC on a third machine a while back; that was where I got that idea from. I need to see what's up with my licenses, so I'll contact them as you directed. Thanks a lot for your time and help!
