Used Studio

Hey guys, quick question: If I buy a used MPC Studio (unit only) can the software be downloaded from the Akai site? I see them sell for $200-$250 used which I can pull off. Or is that a bad idea? thanks

You can download the MPC Software from the Akai site no problem, but you might find that the software won't activate as the number of computer authorisations for that hardware may have been exceeded. However Akai should be able to reset - I advise you check with them first though.
