Does 1.8 have a sustain feature in sample edit mode?

What's up. I just went from 1.1 to 1.8. A while back I posted something about sustaining the end of a sample and someone responded with a tutorial on youtube on how to do it however, they never specified which version that feature was in. I was just wondering if 1.8 had a feature like this. On the video I watched, they were in sample edit and they pressed a pad that did not have a description as to what it does on it. (Play from end, play from start, etc.) It was blank, but when it was pressed, it would loop from the end of the sample. Right now my work around is sampling a tail end, copying it, and playing it forward then in reverse, for, rev, for rev. It works pretty good, but that little feature I watched was pretty ill and would seem easier.

All MPCs have a sustain feature, in as much as you can loop any defined area within a sample. Simply set the loop start point separately to the standard start point and the sample will initially play from the start point, then when it reaches the end point it begins looping between the loop start point to the end point. In the MPC Software (SAMPLE EDIT mode), make sure 'Lock' is off, then set the 'LOOP' point to wherever you wish. in 1.8.2 you can also set the loop type to fwd, rev or alt - from your post it sounds like 'ALT' is the one you want. To test the loop, use A13.
