MPC Ren will just stop playing sound

I'm having a issue with the sound on my mpc, I wanna say I noticed when we went to 1.7.2 that it will play for a while and then if I do something else and come back it will just die ,if I hit the pad it lights up on the screen but I hear nothing, if I try and play a beat it won't start from the software or controller. it was doing this before the firmware update and it's still doing it.Anybody else run into this?

MPC ren 1.8.2 reloaded
Mac mini 2.2core dou 750gb hard drive and 4gb ram
OS 10.7.5

Ok, If I switch to digital out the MPC will start back playing out of my Sony 5:1 but not out of the Monitors, which makes me think software bug? Any Ideas?

What exactly do you mean by " then if I do something else and come back it will just die". Does it mean you do other things on your computer while leaving the MPC software running? Or do you just leave your computer, do other things and then continue with your project? I usually turn all unnecessary applications off, even my internet connection. If I work on the MPC, it is strictly that, nothing else.
Personally I haven't experienced the exact same problem...
Also, could you describe more in detail how you got all your equipment hooked up exactly? Maybe then it can be narrowed down to what the cause may be.
