Help: MPC Studio, Sampling From Turntable & Audio Interface

Hey I've been using the MPC 2000 for some time now & I'm contemplating on upgrading to the MPC Studio due to the cost of maintaining and repairing my aging MPC 2000. I know that you can't directly hook up a turntable to the MPC Studio (like you can directly with the MPC Ren), and I've read that you may have to use a pre-amp/audio interface to hook up to your turntable to your computer to record sounds from your records. I have a Numark PT-01 turntable and I'm pretty sure that I remember reading somewhere about how it has a pre-amp built in so I wouldn't need to get a pre-amp -- just hook the Numark up to my computer to my MacBook. Is this true?

To those who have experience using USB or regular turntables and the MPC Studio, can you give me a summary of how it all works together and I recommend possible pre-amps/audio interfaces I could use if needed -- thank you.

Says right there that it has 'line level output', so you would just plug this directly into your audio interface standard inputs and set the MPC Studio to use your audio interface as normal.

If you have the USB version then I assume this effectively becomes an audio interface once attached via USB to your computer, so you would just set this for the MPC Studio's audio input in the MPC's preferences.

For me I have an old school Technics turntable which is hooked into my dj mixer then into my audio interface. My audio interface is then connected to my computer through usb. On the MPC software, look into your audio preferences and select the audio interface that your turntable is hooked into. Then record your sample from the record. Im also doing this without a pre-amp. For me its a great setup.
