uploading mpc to new laptop problems

Yo, ive got the new laptop uploaded the discs unlocked all fine then tested just putting some drums on the pads and no noise was coming out the head phone jack so i thought it may be because i hadent done the updates (btw will i have to upload every update or does the latest out run it all?) 1.8.2 started at 809 1.3 update down the list and got to update mpc at the bottom tried to run that and it wouldnt get past quarter of the bar so i shut it down and tried to run it again same thing was happening but now my mpc wont read on its pc program saying mpc will produce silent. can anybody help please?

Silly question, did you load the 809 as a plugin track and not try to play the wavs directly? Have you tried to load a regular sample out of your own stash and tried to load those up? Lastly, did you update the firmware on your MPC (this wont effect your sound situation though).
