I want to play the mpc studio live and would like to do a bit more tham muting unmuting tracks as a performance.
is there anyway i can seperate different samples on my pads to a midi mixer? in order to control say volume and eqs etc live for individual pads? i was looking at the Kawai MM16 not sure if it would work thou. even if it did looks like i could only control volume. q links arent so great on the studio plus i have big fingers and have difficulty moving one qlink without touching the one next to it.
if not i guess i have these options:
1. get a ren and use the qlinks. costly plus only able to adjust one parameter per pad.
2.get an mpc 2500 or thereabouts. also costly but at least i could have 8 channels to play with on an external mixer (which id need to buy).
3.get a roland tr8 (seeing as first 5 plus tracks on my sequences are usually taken up by 909 samples) that way at least my drums will be highly tweakable. anyone had experience syncing it to the studio?
appreciate any suggestions. thanks!
