Hi!

I'm trying to record automation with my MPC Renaissance but it doesn't seem to work. I've watched the MPC University video with Young Guru and he seems to just press over dub and whatever changes he makes (let's say using a q-knob to sweep the send of a pad) is recorded and saved in the track. This doesn't work at all for me. How do I record automation without having to go into the software and manually draw automation curves?

Thank you!

Try the manual and assign Q-Links. This mostly helps. But that depends on what automation you are planning.

Is the q link applied to the track within the sequence? Or do I have to apply an effect to a particular sample? I hit the q-link button and get nothing. Also, how do I use the q links for midi cc? Thanks.
