Software with MPC Touch WILL NOT work on Renn!

Just saw this at site below:

"Will the included MPC Software work with my MPC Studio or MPC Renaissance?

The software included with MPC Touch is very similar to the MPC Software you may already be used to, but it will NOT recognize or function with the MPC Studio or MPC Renaissance. If you're an existing MPC user and are eager to update to v1.9 of the MPC Software, please stand by - more info will be released soon!"

Damn, I was hoping the new software would be optimized to where the feel and use would be enhanced when working with the Renn on my Surface. I love it now, but want the pinch zoom feature and other functions to work like on the Touch.

Either way, let's go Akai.........time to prove you can get back to making/finishing complete Music Production Centers before you go the way of your E-MU cousins.

Drop that New Software (which should have been a 2013 release)!!

Also the Touch will only work with Windows 8 and 10, it seems 7 is not supported.

I went and upgraded the studio pc to windows 10 and reinstalled everything. Everything is working rock solid right now. The ssd boots in about 8 seconds too.

Im not too crazy about this idea of being forced to "upgrade"(read: "upsold") everything all the time- no interest here in w8 or w10

well i don't believe 7 is a one that does multi touch like 8 and above so that is why.. no?

That's for the Touch though, so far the Ren and Studio still list Windows 7 as compatible. For the Touch it's probably a driver thing since it treats the touch screen as an extended desktop/screen.

Windows 10 is good stuff!!! It's made me a Mac & PC guy once again. Its awesome on a BootCamped machine too!

Does this mean you're a Mac guy who's using Windows bootcamp on your Mac? I'm curious about this. I have a Macbook Pro and really want to use FL Studio on my Mac. Bootcamp seems like my best option because I don't want to keep waiting for a Native Mac version to come out. Anyone with experience running FL Studio on your Bootcamp'd Mac? Is it worth it?...

IMHO, the Touch files not being compatible with the Ren...that's bad thinking. You should have the main things be compatible at least.
If you have loads of Ren beats you'd like to continue with the Touch...oops, oh yeah, you can't.
Not cool. Things should be backwards-compatible.

That's not what they seem to be implying, it sounds like the touch software cannot be controlled by the ren or studio. I'm sure the projects themselves will be interchangeable.
