It's a little laggy...a little less responsive than I would like

That's my concern, has been since seeing the initial Akai videos. This thing is all about the touch screen, so first priority should be to get the touch screen elements correct, especially the responsiveness of the screen. Until they nail that it has no business being released to the public.

Screen lag is brutal during a lot of the sample edit stuff, which would be the main selling point for me.

IMO the entire selling point of the MPC Touch is the overall touch experience, no matter what mode it's being used in. If it's laggy it will be a complete chore using it and we're all far to used to the perfect touch experience in iPads to accept anything less than this. Even low end smartphones have good responsiveness these days.

Plus many of the TUI icons/buttons seem too small and fiddly, it's all looking a bit awkward ATM. I do wonder how much real user testing this has seen outside of the Akai offices.

Hopefully this can all be fixed quickly, I do think a touchscreen MPC has loads of potential.

They should have just made this as an ipad dock. the touch screen is a nice idea but this has just been rushed out. The old "can be sorted out later" business model does your rep no good.
For me the screen is just to small and the menu has not been thought out well. and please get rid of some prompts when i can just use undo.
Features and suggestions feedback is up to a 182 pages on this forum alone for the Ren.
i hope they keep updating the Ren software i can see a Ren Touch in the future maybe.

Is it possible to open up your Ren sessions in the Touch?

Btw, in the Ren it is possible to copy sounds from one bank to the other bank.

Ren touch is so inevitable seems they are using the touch a ginnuepig presumably
but already both jah and dl peace have stated that the touch is good enuff to superseed the ren except for thos who need multiple connections.

but for mostly itb people the touch will suffice
