What DAW do you like Best? Pro Tools? Interfaces? etc...

Looking to upgrade in 2016 and explore using my REN w a DAW like Pro Tools.
There's a bunch of DAW's out there...Logic, Cubase, etc but ProTools seems like the industry standard.

What do you guys like? I have very little experience running the MPC software as a plug-in...is this legit?
Anyone use two separate computers instead? .... one computer for the Ren, running live (ideally clock synched) into an interface on a 2nd computer w the DAW/Pro Tools?

What interface do you guys like? Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt looks dope, but rather pricey (I'm sure its worth it tho)

I know there's threads on running Ren into pro tools, but since I dont own Pro Tools yet....not much sense in going there.'

I swear by protools but do use others depending on where am working. Thing is with protools by default it doesn't come with many decent plugins or instruments
Its not what you use it how's you use it doesn't really matter

I love logic! Great instruments and graphical interface and the sequencer is solid. Ableton is extremely powerful but to me was very counterintuitive. Definitely Pro tools if your going to be doing a lot of live audio recording. I wish I could use the MPC sequencer to sequence the logic instruments but have not figured that out yet.

I've used them all. Arguably Reason is best. It isn't for plugins but it's extensions are good. Very solid sequencer and mixing.

There's really no doubt that what you get with Logic, for $200, is unmatched. Alchemy alone is worth the purchase price.

Reason is great. Especially the mixer section.

Hardly the best. It doesn´t even have PDC.

Awkward workflow and tiny graphics.

I use Reaper and a motu 828mk3 FW interface 5.3ms roundtrip latency win7, cant make mpc crash!

I own, Logic and Ableton with push. I have Cubase LE as well, but don't use it as often.

Love Reason but no delay compensation is kind of crazy.

I m a cubase User now like 10 years or somethin...we had out good times and our bad times. Now we have good times.

If I would start again I would choose reaper and invest the rest of the budget in nice character eq and compressor for mixing. Reaper is the most flexible daw.

I only use reason as a rewire device
