i'm new in this mpc world

Hi to all

Sorry, about my dumb question and my bad English.
I've received an MPC Studio & Max 49.
The MPC Studio works well on my Mac Pro, but the Max 49 doesn't work.
Can I hang my Max 49 via MIDI to the MPC Studio and play the Piano and others via MPC Software like the studio?
If yes? how does it work with the connection? The MIDI OUT from the Max 49 is on the MIDI IN of the MPC Studio, and then? Any changes on the MENU of the Studio and Max 49?

Can anybody help me? it would be great!

my first guess would be you need to install the driver for the 49. I wouldnt worry about the midi. I think thats a bit much for a simple controller
