Guys sorry if this has been addressed before but I had a quick look and couldn't see it.

My problem is as follows

I tried to add a new plugin today (VST) and scanned new. When I did this it ket saying the plugin scanner had stopped running / working. When I load a previous project up now my plugins are there but if I load a new project the REN doesn't seem to be recognising them at all ????

Ive just recently came on a bit in terms of mixing and mastering etc and all the plugins were great fun when making music.

This is the first time Ive added anything since uploading the software. This is stressing me out can any of you guys advise whats happened (has it happened to you) and if so can you tell me how to fix the problem??

I have no clue whatsoever but if I was to hazard a guess id say 1.9 might not support VST anymore ??

On a Mac if you right click the MPC software icon and choose "get info" you have access to choose it in 32bit mode. Some plugins are either 32bit or work better in a different mode.

I would than go to the "preferences" in MPC software and rescan your plug in folders.

Kaydigi it was TDR Nova that i tried to install today

Dusty all the all the plugins were working (other than the new one)before today. I made sure that i downloaded the plugins in 64 bit which was the version of MPC software I was running. It was just after I tired to scan a new one today (which is the first time Ive done that since 1.9 update) that it scanned everything and now its not showing any of them other than my my NI ones. I don't understand whats happened there have never been any problems before today ??

the plugins Ive been using without a problem up until now include limiter 6, molot etc

Im going crazy here don't understand what the problem is

sorry guys don't know if I'm being clear enough here

Before updating to 1.9 I had already installed plugins (64 bit same as software) and they were all ok.

I then updated to 1.9 when it came out. Now since then I've not re-scanned any plugins. Today I tried to install a new one and then tried to scan new and the rest is as i explained above. Sorry if I wasn't making sense.

I had one plug in get deauthorized after the update. The tech told me it happens sometimes when you install new software.

Its just a guess, try launching them in a different daw if possible, at least you can further isolate it.

Dusty I don't use another DAW just the REN and software. Its multiple plugins that aren't showing up now rather than just one. Basically every 3rd party plugin isn't showing up

Theres a message that shows when you update to 1.9 it reads,

"You have an older MPC Pro Tools RTAS plugin installed on your computer.
MPC 1.9 and above no longer supports the legacy RTAS format; it provides a 32 bit and 64 bit Pro tools AAX plugin.
The RTAS plugin will not be removed from your computer but it will not be updated.
In new MPC projects please use the AAX format plugin."

I have a feeling this has something to do with it ? Any ideas ?

To me it sounds like id have to download all my 3rd plug ins in AAX format for them to work with 1.9 ?

No AAX is for Pro Tools. Nova works fine in 1.9.1. The problem you may have is the installer, the NOVA installer dumps all the versions (32 bit, 64bit, and aax in one folder). I'm not sure if the MPC program is crashing due to them all being in there,

I would do a NOVA uninstall, and reinstall with the version you need (32 or 64 bit). Or you can use the non installer option and just drop the .dll in the your proper plugin location.

Edit sorry for the bad pic, didn't realize the Touch screen would be picked up.
