Hello,

I Need Help !
I don´t get it with the files.
I made a testproject yesterday. saved it.
Now it seems to load without loading the samples itself.
when loading my .xpj file do i indeed get the error Message: "missing files"

ok, i figured out this:
i had to load my .prg file by hand, this was "loading" the samples.
now my sequence plays again inclouding giving me a audio Signal out

i don´t get it, cause when i save a Project in the whole, would i expect to be able to load the whole thing in the whole.
What is here the stumbling block ? what do i have to check when saving ?
and mainly: how do i load a saved Project when starting the next day ?
which file or folder to i click exactly ?

disclaimer:
( Yes, i´m TOTALLY out of working anything with computers exept than mailing and surfing the web !
Yes, i look old and dumb on computer related topics ;) , please do not mind ;) )

Sounds like you may have moved the .xpj file?

I say that because when you save a project the .xpj file is created, but also a folder is created that contains the data for that project. The are both normally saved in the same over all folder.... In other words...

You have a project called "toe". You have a folder called "MPC Projects". You save your project "toe" in the "MPC Projects folder and the software automatically creates a folder "Toe projectdata" that is also in the "MPC Projects folder. That data folder has to be there for the project to load samples etc.....

Yeah, i had to move the .xpj file ( sorry, wrote above .prg file ;) )
right now i´m under the impression that the .xpj file is saved one folder above in the structure vs. all other files when i save a project.
i investigate it.
now that i know that i have to watch that .xpj file.

thanks Bremencole
