Hello,

I'm not sure this is specific to the MPC renaissance, I think I had the same issue on the MPC 2000.
I have an old synth from the 80's (bit 99) which I use as a MIDI controller on the MPC renaissance, hooked up with a midi cable. Everything works fine apart from the velocity, it doesn't go over 80, the pads triggered on the mpc ren don't light up above orange when playing on the keyboard (it should go to red) even when i hit it hard.

I have tried hooking up a more modern small midi controler but via USB and there's no issue with the velocity.
The thing is the old synth I have has a wider range of notes as the keyboard goes across several octaves, and of course as it's from the 80's I can't test it with a USB cable.

Is there any way to change it so the notes played on the keyboard can be used up to maximum velocity?
