mpc studio no sound

Does anyone know how to fix the issue of no sound playing? If I press play I can hear the metronome, also the test sound works. The mpc is set as the midi. I try to assign a sound to a pad and it never loads or plays the sound. I also noticed that my cpu is registering 0. I am using a mac book pro os x with 8gb of ram and over a terabyte of memory, all of my other DAWS work fine except mpc studio software. Help please

you need to load a kit or sounds to specific pads and change your track type from "midi" to "drums". also check your audio output under preferences
