MPC REN PAD LIGHTS REPLACEMENT

One of the multi-color LED's is dying out showing only green and dimmed red.Yellow is completely dead. It doesn't work even if i select amber or yellow in pad assign it shows green instead.MPC stuff only offers entire pcb for 488 dollars. I'm waiting for Akai to answer. Anyone has the specs of the led so that i can look in some hardware store.

Man its killin' me, i mean, i've just installed the clear fat pads two weeks ago and the shitty led starts trippin'

you may need to take it apart and do some research about its specifications, you're going have to take it apart to fix it anyway. matter of fact see if soldering in new LED is even an option first.

it would be cheaper to buy second hand ren and gut it out for the part you need than paying mpc stuff 488 for the pcb board...I seen used rens on ebay for as low as 350

i dont know man it has too many screws and all.i have an mpc studio lying about so imma open it up and take the pcb to the local hardware store to see if they can help out.from what i was able to find out they are soldered on the same side of the pcb, not on the other with pins going through the board like the button leds and tact switches in the legacy mpcs. i'll post up the findings and hopefully successful results

p.s. im expecting the leds to cost 20 or 30 of cents per piece

I have to check with the local supplier to confirm it 100% but it seems that only way to get LED replacement is to change the entire pcb
