How do you guys work around this? When I use VST effects on certain sequences, then string those sequences together with others that aren't using those same VST effects, then convert it to a sequence from song mode, my VST effects go away in my new big sequence.

Converting a string of sequences into a song then making it into one long sequence is the only convenient way I know of to run off my tracks individually into my DAW. I'm not interested in sequencing in my DAW. I have to sequence in the MPC. Is there any way to get around this loss of VST effects when converted to a new sequence???

Thanks.

That´s how MPCs work. When converting a song to a sequence, the first sequence is the reference...

So if for instance Seq 3 uses a VSTi on track 1, you have to insert the same VSTi on track 1 in Seq 1, even if it doesn´t play any notes in that sequence.

It´s just a matter of adjusting your workflow...

Yep, that same answer has been re-told millions of times and it's the same. a sequence converted to song is always referenced off of the very first sequence, it's track assignment and effects. All following seqs loose their will to live and succumb to the wilderness. Line em all up with Seq1 in song steps, then convert.

Another way to do this is print each to audio. That's more trouble than it's worth in my opinion and is NOT as flexbile as it's permanent audio looped as a seq/bar.

This is another plus of MPC becoming DAW lite converting the sequences stems wav should_______should be a better option. Converting to audio stems and just dropping them in a timeline is a workflow I would love (I know yall don't want it to turn into that though)

Ok, so as long as I have the VST inserted on the same track in all the seq's throughout my song (even if it's doing nothing on some seq's), then it should keep my effects in play when I convert it to a long seq? That would be just fine with me.

Akai should add a feature to address this, make it easier.

Maybe on every sequence you can check "master track routing". Something like "master tempo"

That method doesn't work for me, at least with Glitch VST. It's not keeping my effects when I convert it to sequence, even when I have that exact VST on the same track on every seq all the way through the song. It doesn't keep what I do within the VST.
