How do you do this?

I mean, I know how to explode tracks and alladat, but I want to be able to track out of the Touch and record into logic in real-time, two tracks at a time.

I currently have a apogee duet and when I try and use submix 1 (or 2) on the Touch, the sound plays/registers in both inst 1 and 2 on the duet when I ONLY want it to play in one, so I can run another instrument sound into inst. 2 on the duet.

Reason I want to figure this out is because I want to get a UA Apollo Twin and use it as a preamp along with their plugs to record into logic with plug effects already on the sounds so I can save DSP and CPU for the mix.

I know it seems archaic, but I see it being beneficial to the overall sound during the mix process.

Does anyone else use this method or know how to use this method on the Touch?

I know it's optimized for quick and digital transfers of sound, but I wanna be able to do it the old school way as well.

Hopefully that made sense.... lol

Anyone?
