I'm a fan of NI,but couldn't you be a bit more original, is this what Developers call sampling ? Akai Pro do me one favor, go for the juggler please, and take them out. Warriors come out n play!

Maschine did it the best though. Crazy how it automatically assigns it to the pads! IMO akai messed up by trying to recreate the legacy mpc workflow when they did the ren. When you chop a sample it should be on the pad instantaneously without having to create a program. They tried to market to beatmakers from the 90s which was a mistake.

I'm a fan of both, i guess what I'm getting at is this, in the case of export, Akai seemed to respect NI's export option, and they coded Mpc software to do things differently.IMO Akai should do exactly what NI did to them, and rip drag n drop from NI, as it does work better. It'd probably drop a few lines of code, and be easier on end users as well. There's no rules to this apparently. Either way,it appears there's blood in the water now,may the best dev's win!

Correct logic did this with a key command, which I loved.

they had to do that... numark's reputation with the mpc line was shit. They didn't give a **** if their machines worked properly or not.. look at the 500 (still has bugs that should have been ironed out) look at the 1000 and 2500.. those two machines were pieces of shit with out a 3rd party OS being made which voided the warranty to install im guessing... then the 5000, the worst mess they ever put together... trying to hybridize old alesis stuff into an mpc built with shoddy parts mediocre specs (very low specs for a flagship) and they never supported it... they never fixed the OS.. they coughed up the time and effort to make a 2.0 OS after it took public complaint from a celebrity.

This ren and mpc software.... nobody on these forums knew they would actually support this thing and iron it out the way they did... it's like they turned over a new leaf... both the mpc and the maschine have come a very long way since they first came out with many features that were not available... they went from VST plugging that self host to becoming their own DAW environment

yes! the taxi companies all went on strike until our government kicked UBER out of the province... guess what? the taxi drivers are still striking for other shit now even this week after the law passed. (which the government had to put in a law forcing taxis to accept credit card payment to keep up with the times somewhat) That was shit for the consumer... the taxis are a monopoly here.

You do know that you can actually do that in the Mpc software right?

Yo just pick a (blank) program, go to sample record, pick pad tap mode and bam! Each time you hit the pad of your choice, the slice gets recorded and is assigned to this pad automatically. Furthermore, with pad hold you can do the same by holding down a pad.

Oh and it's automatically set to one shot and mono. So easy and fast. I love this function! :smoker:

It's amazing that some people believe that Akai software was the first to employ this method. What exactly is the problem here? I trust NI's software over Akai any day of the week.

Competition or Class-Action Suits.....or

Thousands of pissed off DJ's is one thing, but a few thousand VERY angry beatmakers and rappers would shut down InMusic's HQ pretty quickly.
