So, I'm having a bit of trouble here. I'm using the MPC Renaissance, and I've easily figured out how to take a sequence and record track mutes. Just hit "Track Mute," hit record and my track mutes are saved. My problem is that when I try to do the same thing with Pad Mute, after hitting record, my mutes and unmutes aren't saved like track mutes are. Either the pad is muted for the entire sequence, or it's not.
For example, I can open up Track Mute, hit record and mute a specific track every other bar just by hitting the pad for the designated track. You can see that the track has been muted in the "Tracks" window indicated by a red area for that specified time frame. This doesn't happen for Pad Mute. Either the pad is muted for the entire sequence, or it's not. I can't hit record, then mute a specific pad for, say, a bar or two, then turn it back on. Am I doing something wrong here?
Update: For now, I've been using Explode Track to send each sample to a separate track so I can record those mutes.
