Lost sound

Hey can you guys please help me maybe. I recently bought a newmark turntable to use with my ren. Everything was fine, but then the other night after loading a sample and chopping it the software crashed. The next day I loaded the same sample from the vinyl, and when I went to play it back there was no sound. Now I've lost sound altogether. If I don't use the mpc driver I get sound from my computer, but with the ren setting nothing! I've installed the software and driver again multiple times and no change. I even reset my whole computer back to default and same result! I'm lost! Could the mpc interface be faulty?

In Preferences, do you hear anything when you press the 'Test' button?

When you say you installed the software multiple times, have you first completely uninstalled the software using the provided uninstaller, rebooted your computer and then installed?

Please state what computer system you have (OS version). And which version of the MPC Software you are using.

Did you install any software with the Numark?

Yeah the test button gives a sound from the headphones, but then no sound with anything else. It's a HP pavilion running Windows 9. It was running 10 but now it's back at 9 because of the default reset. I installed the software that came with the newmark but it's gone now. I've never had a problem with it for nearly a year. I uninstalled the software through the computers control panel. I reset the computer today and when I reinstalled the software and driver it said that the driver was already installed on the computer. I though with the reset all drivers and software would be removed.

Sorry and it's the latest version of mpc software.

So test sound from headphone, but no test sound from main audio outs?

And no sound from headphones when playing samples/instruments (in a program or sequence etc)?

BTW, you should use the Akai uninstaller, not the Windows one, as this will definitely remove everything (except your preferences/activation details). Basically if you had uninstalled that driver correctly, it should not be there when you try reinstalling. Sounds like you have a bit of a mess after all that OS reseting, so try starting completely from scratch.

That´s the bottleneck! You are running the MPC software on an operating system that doesn´t exist...

Sorry it's the windows that was before the 10 update. What ever that was called. I'll try the uninstaller in the mpc. I also read on here that you should disable all other sound before installing the mpc driver. I'll give that a shot. Yeah I get test sound through headphones but that's all. I'm about to go to work so I'll try it when I get home and let you know if that worked. Thank you for your help.

The problem occurred before the os reset.... The reset was my last answer. I'll try what you said.

I did what you said but the computer still says it's already installed on computer? I uninstalled it through windows but it stays in the list of programs. It's like I can't get the drive off my computer. Any ideas?

play with the driver settings. If it is core audio switch to bit accurate and vise versa and see if it works.
