IMHO this is the biggest pain of MPC to me right now.
Certain plugins by UAD (e.g., Ampex tape) and Slate Digital (e.g., Virtual Tape Machine) cause delay, and that is not compensated by MPC at all, which leads in major headache.

There's two reasons why this is massive pain:
• The delay is program-specific. Say you have a kick on track 1, then a snare on track 2, and they're both on different programs. You insert a UAD plugin on the kick track/program, but not on the snare. Kick gets delayed so bad it's unuseful. A workaround for this is to have them in the same program, so they'll both get the same delay, BUT, they'll be delayed against all the other tracks in your song, and then....
• Metronome is not compensated either, so it becomes useless. You can't use it, as once the delay is there, metronome is living a life of its own.

I'm a massive fan of UAD and Slate, and would really love to see Akai address these.

Happens even when running it out of my iMac speakers.
El Capitan.
Not a USB issue; happens even when MPC Touch isn't on or connected.

I only have to open the software, add a kick on a pad, insert midi notes, load up a Slate VTM on track insert, listen to the metronome, and it's all ****.

Ableton Live is my main DAW, and I always end up doing final mixing and mastering there, but still, as I'm working on stuff with the MPC, I want to get the sound quickly quite close to where I want it to be, so I don't want to leave it all for handling in Live.
