I want to chop throughout from a 3 minute song. In sample edit mode, I want to just be able to select starting and end points for all of my regions, maybe about 85 of them. Threshold mode looks like a total mess for this(?). Regions looks like what I want, but the starting and end points are so stubborn, plus if you decide mid-chop that you want to change the amount of regions, everything gets all screwed up. You lose your progress.
Normally what I do is just sample in and record one little piece at a time from throughout the song, assign to pads, and trim them up. Old school hardware style. But I feel like there's gotta be an easier way, and one where I'm not sampling in.
PS I'm still using 1.6 because versions above has been too unstable. So lazy chop is not an option. Anyone have ideas? I feel like I'm missing something here. It shouldn't be this hard. I just want to be able to move around my start and end points (and also have the option of letting them overlap) freely. Help!
Thanks!!!!
