2 pieces of hardware with one software?

I bought a MPC Renaissance demo model from a store - without the box , without DVD's or manuals or nothing.
Now i try to use the Renaissance with the software that i already got with my MPC TOUCH
- but the software can not read the Renaissance.
I tried to Unlock the Renaissance on the website but i don't have any software ID (plus i'd rather use both machine with the same software)

So i have 2 questions:
1. Is it not possible to use both machines with the same software or do i need 2 versions of the software?
2. Otherwise How do i register the new MPC REN - when i don't have any software ID?
(i called the store to provide me with the ID but they didn't really know anything about it )

Install the Renaissance drivers!

What Khayos said. Run the install and just select Ren drivers. You may have to do a firmware update also.

And since you bought it from a store, you can call akai and they will add it to your account. Same as above, you have to install the Mpc Ren drivers as well.
