Hi

Is there any option now in MPC Software to record pad mutes? I want to mute kick drum for example for 1 bar. Without making another track with it or stupid things like that. Is that possible?

On the Hardware (e.g. Renaissance ) go to your kick drum Track and click the Q-Link Trigger Button untill it flashes ( automation is set to write ).
Hit " Shift & Pad Mute " & " Record or Overdub " mute your kick drum Pad to activate/de-activate.When properly done exit Record Overdub hit Q-Link Trigger Button. It will continuously flash red wich means it's in read mode. That's it!

Damn.. looks like there is no simpler, more straight-forward method?

There is only a few button pushes, that isn't straight forward? You want straight forward pad mutes but are going to explode tracks?

You can always just delete sounds. Copy the sequence and delete that sound.

Yeah, explode tracks works fine for me. There should be a "pad mute" option which you can record easy like with "track mute" without that all steps IMO. Presented workaround feels weird for me.

All the steps? If your ready on the track, hit Q link trigger button and shift and pad mute. Record by overdubbing...

I don't have a Renaissance , but that sounds easy.

If the other way is easier for you by all means...
