Hi, is there any advantage to using usb 3.0 ports vs usb 2 in terms of latency and/or video speed? I'm not sure if the touch even supports usb 3 at all. thanks in advance

No advantages to my knowledge. No problems using the Touch with USB 3 ports here on my Mac Mini 2012, running Mavericks. However some people seem to have difficulties with usb 3 in certain set ups, but I believe this is a minority.
