Not always able to audition slices/chops

Is it just me, or do more people have the issue, of when editing programs, such as chopped samples, more the occassionally certain pads/slices/chops wont playback, and i am not able to hear the chop when in slice-editing mode, this happens sometimes when im in the process of chopping/slicing a sample, or when i want to edit the chops i already made... some pads just wont play.... is this a common problem, or is something else wrong with my hardware, or setup?

There are 3 modes you need to figure out that you're in. Trim, Chop or Program.
Each screen does different things, as far as Playback of samples.
