Hello ladies and gents,

I just recently decided to start producing some beats in my spare time.

GEAR:
MPC Studio Black
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
Custom computer (haswell-e overlocked, ddr4 16gb, GTX 980 Ti FTW, Seasonic 750w)
DELL 27" IPS Panel
Phillips SHP9000
Logitech $10 speakers (I definitely need recommendations on new ones)

I was hoping someone can explain to me the benefits of hooking up my MPC to an audio interface.

Is one of the benefits reduce latency?

Furthermore, as silly as it sounds - how would I connect my MPC to the audio interface?

You don't hook the MPC to the interface exactly. The MPC would be USB to the computer.

The interface would need to be selected in the MPC software settings and the main things it would do it help latency and general monitoring sound quality to a degree as it will have better convertors in the interface.

In terms of better speakers most will be better. Depends on your price range. I just got some Yamaha HS7s for about £340 and they are not bad for the price at all.
