Everything was working fine before this.
-Running Sierra OS on Mac version 10.12.1
-Late 2011 macbook pro
-16 GB Ram/Memory
-2.8ghz Intel Core i7
I downloaded the latest update off the akai pro website that was said to be compatible with Sierra OS X.
Normal updating process didn't work, I would get stuck on the step where it tries to recognize your mpc touch screen to make sure it looks ok, it is no longer detecting the Touch Display. Even though Touch display is on and working fine, displaying my desktop even, power is on, the DC cable is plugged into the wall, and the USB cable into a powered usb port.
Ive uninstalled the MPC software and MPC drivers beforehand, restarting whenever prompted, and re-installed the new updated Mpc Software for Sierra multiple times with no luck. I get through every step fine, always manage to install the mpc software 1.9.6 i believe it is. I install the new drivers, installed the new display link driver for Sierra (after uninstalling the previous; even tried reinstalling previous and installing over it, still doesn't get past the step that follows, which is where it checks for my screen and asks does my touch screen look ok? This step always stalls out, and the mpcinstaller just forever looks for my mpctouch display which is powered on right there and the screen is fine. I don't get why its not recognizing my mpctouch display on that step, driving me nuts, haven't made any music in months.
I really need help, I dont know what is going on now, bc I just got home and tried the process again but when U go to library/application support/akai/ there is no "Uninstall Mpc" utility anymore, like it just disappeared. Either this new update is screwed up, or I been smoking too much lately
