previewing sounds

On the X or Live, is it possible to have an internal sequence playing, while previewing stored drum samples in standalone?

the older MPC's can't do this. when we scrolled to the load menu, the sequence stops. Just wondering if these 2 new MPC's have this ability now.

oh and one more quick question... is it possible to connect a USB corded mouse to the new MPC's, in case we'd like to move notes around & select things that way? I don't have much luck with touchscreens & swiping, getting exactly where I want, dirty/greasy fingertips, etc.

The mouse question is a no.

Not sure about sequence stopping, I thought I just watched a Hellfire video where he loaded drums with the beat still playing. This was on the Live.

Dont know if it will change in 2.0 but I've had my beat playing and then auditioned stuff from the browser over it. I normally just did it for single drum hits rather than loops as they would require bpm adjustments unless they were by chance at the bpm im working on for the track. The software can do it so don't see why the standalones would be different.
