It's a scam to sell people updated product lines (MPC Studio Black) with the promise of updated software (MPC Software 2.0) that's delayed for nearly a year and after all this wait, come to find out it's going to cost $100 if you haven't purchased the product in the last 4 months.
The last 4 months from when? From the beta release "announcement" that we can't even download OR purchase? This is a joke, Akai needs to do what's right and at least offer MPC Studio Black customers the free software update and support.
I give props to Akai for getting me into production but they've also now taught me they don't care about the music or the tools. All they care about is squeezing more dollars out of unsuspecting customers because they can't manage their own operations and budgets. What a shame. Do what's right and save your brand or do us all a favor and exit.
