I just bought an mpc studio and it should be here tomorrow. I got a question. Most of the chopping tutorials I saw they take a 4 or 2 bar loop and chop it into equal regions. The way I sample I take little pieces from the whole song. What's the best way of doing this? I'm coming from fl studio where I would load a song in edison, manually select my chop and drag them to pads.

You can chop however you like. Doesn't have to be equal parts.
I've never done equal parts/slices. I've never liked that way of doing things.
