Hey there,
We all know the MPC Touch is not standalone, but I want to make my way around that limitation. I already know that it's technically usable as a MIDI controller if you plug it via USB, but for it to work without the need of a computer, a DC adapter is needed. That means I can't really use the MPC without plugging it in an outlet.
Really interested in using it while my laptop's inside my backpack.
The DC adapter is 3A center-positive 6V. I looked for an USB adapter with the same properties on Amazon and I found mostly 3A center-positive 5V cables. Does that difference matter that much? I'm not familiar with voltages but as far as I know, as long as I don't surpass the voltage the MPC shouldn't get damaged, but will it even turn on?
