Recording vocals over sequence chain

I record my songs as sequences and then chain them in song mode.
I usually use vocals samples that I chop up as needed. But sometimes I want to record live vocals.
Is it possible to continuously record vocals over a sequence CHAIN within the MPC software? Basically, if I have vocals that when recorded, bleed from one sequence into another, can I chain the sequences to continue to record vocals THROUGH that chain? Or does the sequence chain have to be recorded as an audio track first?
