Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

My computer is Lenovo Legion Y7000p, the interface is 3.0
My problem is the same as this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELCEva_RNaM&t=307s

When I use MFC as my audio driver, there will be delays, pops, and distortion. I have used usb2.0 extender, but it has not improved. I sent an email to Akai, they did not reply and solve my situation

I tried to modify the sample rate and buffer to solve it, but it can only run normally for a while, and the same problem will occur after a while.

Hope someone can give me some help,

Thanks! :worthy:

I have usb-C ports and no audio problem , post a screenshot of the audio settings, many people mistakenly don't use the asio driver ,or use asio4all and get crackles

Thanks for your reply, my computer also has a type c interface, and my computer is a PC. As shown in the figure, if I set the sampling rate to 440Khz, the popping sound will be more serious, so I can only set it to 960Khz, but there will still be a slight crackling and delay. I will buy a USB-C cable to try if it can solve this problem

Strange, stick with 44100 but make sure that Windows don't use the Ren as a playback or recording device
If problem insists try uninstalling and reinstalling Ren's driver
Does Ren work on your desktop PC ? Or same problem ?

PS. Forgot to mention some basic steps ,which you might already tried such as use another usb cable or port

I tried to do it your way, and also changed the sampling rate to 44100hz, which became a little better, but after a normal period of time, there will still be pops and crackling.

If you tried all the previous ,maybe your laptop throttles after a while (high temp and the system lowers the frequency clock to cool down) , it should not happen on the desktop
There is a small possibility that the usb tries to power off for energy saving , maybe check

I recommend installing the software to other PC and see if your Ren works fine . If not there is a chance it's hardware malfunction

Hey bro, I tried the method you said, and it still looks like the video on the laptop. I have never tried to connect to my MPC Ren on a desktop computer. I will try, but my main work computer is still a laptop. If it can’t work because of the laptop, it’s really bad.

that's strange, it seems that there is no latency when you hit the pad , but after the hit the sound echoes like putting a delay
Could you try downloading Reaper and try a vst synth using Ren's ASIO? (Don't forget to arm the track on Reaper)
Using the desktop PC could verify if it's software error/setting on the Laptop

I downloaded and installed reaper. At the beginning, when I used mpc ren as the driver, it appeared as in the video, with serious latency. At this time, the sampling rate of my MPC Ren in Reaper was 44100hz.

Then I changed the sampling rate in reaper to 96000hz. At this time, everything is running normally, there is no noise and no cracks. In the ten minutes of my test, it has been running perfectly.

Then I ran the same test in my nuendo8. It doesn't work perfectly like in reaper, it has a serious latency, just like the video when I just started to open reaper.
