Problem with MPC Studio

Hello, a friend gave me this mpc studio, it only turns on the light on 4 pads, I already have it registered and everything but when I get the activation code it throws an error ("THERE IS NO SERIAL CODE ON THE LEFT, OR I DO NOT KNOW FIND THE SERIAL CODE "). Now that I have the new software (i bought it yesterday), when I go in, the tab to unlock the mpc does not appear, just start the daw and voila, can anyone help me with this?
