mpc ren q links pad assingment issue 2.10

Once i switch to pad assingment mode, i cannot control sample with the relevant q-link, or in the same manner i cannot choose sample during program edit with a q-link.. the q-link bind i need is just not there while others may be still presented. Is it a 2.10 issue only? And is there any way to fix it with some midi learn magic or something? super frustrating to use the data wheel and cursor keys every time i need to choose a sample..
