Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I am using the latest MPC Software with the MPC Ren.

I noticed that when I listen to a sample in the sample browser and then I drag it into a sequence and play it as part of a sequence it sounds completely different from how it sounds in the sample browser.

I played a snare sample and it has the sound I want but when I drag into a sequence it sounds more filtered and nothing like how it did when I listened to the sample in the browser.

I have no idea why that is. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you :)

Dragging it into a sequence makes the sample part of a program and that may have filter settings, dynamics or other fx.

Adding to that: try dragging it to a new / empty program. Try loading „Program 001“ on your first track and add it there, it should have default settings if you haven‘t messed with the initial template.
