The MPC software seems to work fine, but Windows can't recognize MPC Studio

When I run the firmware updater it can't detect the hardware

Does anyone know what it could be?

Try other usb port and cable
Check also on device manager that there is a new device when you plug it in , at least an "unknown" device with the question mark
I suppose you did install the drivers first when installing the MPC Software

Not sure what firmware updater you are referring to, there is no firmware updater for the Mk2, The MPC Software installer just contains a Mk 2 driver installer for your computer and the MPC Software app itself.

You should be able to install the drivers without needing the installer to detect the hardware . Launch the MPVC Software installer, select Studio Mk 2 as your device, install, and the drivers should get installed. Reboot. Connect the hardware, launch the MPC Software.
